Privacy policy

Last updated: November 2026

This policy explains what data is processed when you use the temporary email service, how long it is kept and how it is protected.

Data we collect

Temporary address and content: the address you create and the emails sent to it (sender, subject, content and attachments) are stored temporarily on the server so the service can work.

IP address: to prevent abuse and enforce rate limits, your IP address is recorded when you create an address. It is deleted together with the address; rate-limit counters keep only a hashed form of the IP and are cleaned up shortly after.

Contact form: when you write to us, your name, email address and message are stored so we can reply.

Retention

Temporary addresses and all their messages and attachments are permanently deleted automatically when the lifetime you chose ends or when you delete them.

Technical logs (error and operation logs) are kept for at most 14 days.

Cookies and local storage

A short-lived session cookie is used for security (CSRF protection).

Your browser's local storage keeps your inbox access keys and theme preference. This data is not sent to the server automatically and you can remove it by clearing browser data.

If advertising is shown on the site, ad providers may use their own cookies, which are subject to their own policies.

Sharing

Your data is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing. Information may be disclosed to the authorities if legally required.

Security

Incoming emails are sanitized, attachments are downloadable only through signed, time-limited links, and inbox access keys are stored in the database only as hashes. No system is risk-free; we advise not to send sensitive information to temporary addresses.

Your rights

Under GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, correct and delete your data. The content of temporary addresses is deleted when they expire anyway. For other requests please use the contact page.

Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. The current version is always published on this page.
